The 83rd General Assembly has begun the arduous process of determining how to bridge a $500 million to $1 billion gap between estimated revenues and projected spending.  It will take years to regain economic stability in our state.  This will only come about through bipartisanship that recognizes, as former President Clinton noted, our need to overcome the illusion that our differences are more important than our common humanity.  As a candidate for Iowa Senate District 41, I promise to work both sides of the aisle to bring forward the best solutions to achieving economic stability and prosperity.
